We have a beautiful sort of problem – an obsession, if you will. It’s been described as reminiscent to “the vocal stylings of Fiona Apple, but with more pop flavor and electronics.”
It’s called the Pauses.
We have yet to see the Pauses live. (Shh. Here’s a track they’re sharing for free, though, so you may get that good ol’ taste in yer mouth.) They are playing soon with our very own Equines at the Tropical Heatwave Festival in Ybor City May 15. Unfortunately, the two bands have the same exact time slot in two different venues. HOT DAMN.
Here’s the solution. The Pauses made a sweet video. They also need pledges (even one dollar) from music lovers in order to mix and master their first album, but they’re not just taking your money for nothing. Pledge $15 and get your name in the liner notes. Pledge $30 (like we did) and you’ll also receive a digital download of the album before its release.
If you help them, we can guilt/trick/persuade them into coming to Sarasota to play. Pretty please?
